After the 21 year old Speyside from the Mortlach Distillery (57.6% Vol) Sherrywood Matured that we sent out in March was so well received, we decided that a bourbon matured bottling from one of the smaller distilleries in Speyside would make a nice alternative.
So the bottling for this month is a 13 year old Speyside from the Glen Elgin-Glenlivet Distillery (59.5% Vol) Bourbon Matured.
What we said:
"Grassy, heather and clean. The very pale colour does not betray the grassy powerful character that bounces on your palate. It definitely needs water to release the lovely fruity notes."
